who is this Hank stevens.....

 

Henry Stevens, Ph.D, “Hank,” as he likes to be called, has been in human resource management since it was Personnel Administration in the 60’s and is now the Managing Principal of Human Resources Quality Assurance, LLC (HRQA) in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.   He and his company have created recruitment techniques and innovative retention strategies for companies concerned with enhancing their competitive position in the “War for Talent.”  He applies this knowledge and experience to helping those who are recent college graduates or more seasoned managers who find themselves between opportunities. 

 

Hank specializes in helping clients realize their talents and focus their energy in a fashion that results in better targeting and acquiring employment opportunities.  He has taught Health Services Administration at the Masters level for St. Thomas University (Miami), been a preceptor and provided guidance to many students, worked for the United Nations delivering H-R assistance to the government of St. Lucia, been an outplacement counselor, sourced all personnel necessary for a casino operation sailing out of Key West, is a licensed Ombudsman for the Florida Department of Elder Affairs, and, at his core, is a vocational counselor.

 

Hank holds a doctorate in Health Services Administration from Columbia Pacific University, CA and Personnel Administration from Keystone College, PA.  In addition to his many accomplishments, he is a published author of a 90,000-word romantic-historical novel, Interstate, and writes under the pen name, “Halsey”.

 

Hank is a past-president of the South Florida Healthcare Human Resources Association and is a frequent presenter on H-R related topics to numerous professional interest groups and colleges, primarily in South Florida.  He is currently a Board Member of the National Human Resources Association – South Florida Chapter, where he volunteers his time helping others with their recruiting, selection, and retention issues.  He readily presents his program “I am a Recruiter.  Why Should I Hire You?
